Anchoring Work
I have had extensive experience anchoring during my collegiate career, where I am an anchor for Penn State's weekly live on-campus newscast, PSN News. I also produced, edited and moderated Penn State's first televised student government presidential debate. To see examples of my anchoring and moderating abilities, take a look at my video below or look at my YouTube page for yourself.
Reporting Work
First and foremost, I am trying to continually improve my reporting abilities because any broadcast journalist needs to be a solid reporter first. I have been able to create packages for PSN News to hone my abilities over the past couple years. For these stories, I shoot, write and edit them all on my own. I primarily use Final Cut Pro, but I also have experience with Adobe Premiere and Avid NewsCutter. These videos below are only a few samples of my work, so please feel free to visit my YouTube page for a full list of stories I've worked on.
Documentary Work
In addition to my experience reporting and anchoring, I interviewed, shot and edited a half-hour documentary about June Messerly, her travels around the world and her new found interest in ballroom dancing after the passing of her husband. The video below is a short excerpt from the entire documentary. If you're interested in seeing it in its entirety, please get in touch with me.
Other Television Work
I have also been proud to be a part of many other filming efforts throughout my high school and college career. In the video below, I helped to produce and edit a Sept. 11 tribute video that is still in use today.
